Good morning, Andover! Today’s forecast calls for a perfect summer day with lots of sun and a high of 74 degrees.

Here are five things to know for Monday, June 20:

  1. Town offices are closed today in observance of Juneteenth, but trash will be collected on a normal schedule this week. Some businesses may have modified hours.
  2. The eastbound lane of Shawsheen Street will be closed beginning today for sidewalk construction. The detour will be in place periodically through Sept. 1. More info.
  3. On Tuesday, there will be a water main shutdown on Sutherland Street from house #9 to house #33, and Filter Bed Road in its entirety from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm as the town continues its water main replacement work.
  4. Also on Tuesday, the MassHire Merrimack Valley Workforce Board meets at 9 am and the GLTS District School Commitee meets at 5:15 pm.
  5. The Select Board holds a goals workshop on Tuesday at 7 pm in the 3rd Floor Conference Room A at Town Hall. Town Manager Andrew Flanagan will update the board on Andover’s new mobile app and website refresh, as well as give a response update on the Andover Central Customer Service System. The board will also discuss its 2022-23 goals.
