A.M. Briefing

Four Things To Know Today
  1. It's Clown Town time! The event opens tonight and runs through Saturday.
  2. The Town Office and School Administration Building parking lots are closed today for Clown Town. Alternative parking is available in municipal lots at Chestnut Court and 89 Main Street. Limited temporary parking spots will remain open in front of Town Offices.
  3. Today's fire flow testing is at 43 River Road, beginning at 8:00 a.a. Water may be discolored for a time on River Road, North Street, Federal Street and in the surrounding areas (more info).
  4. I'm looking for four or more people who would like to join an Andover News publisher's advisory panel (it's a working title). The group would meet informally about once a month starting this summer to discuss ways to reach my mission of providing quality, local news to Andover residents. While I'm looking for people who understand the importance of local news coverage, you do not necessarily need a background in journalism: I'd actually prefer people from a wide range of backgrounds who can offer ideas and advice on small business start-ups, finance, promotion, government, Web design, social media, legal issues and more. If interested, send me an email outlining your background and why you're interested in joining.
