The Andover Inn is staffing up for a reopening after an extended, coronavirus pandemic closure.

The Inn and Samuel’s restaurant closed on March 23, 2020. At the time, Phillips Academy Andover officials said the closure would be “indefinite” and allow time for “several necessary repairs.” The hotel and restaurant space were also used during the pandemic to give Phillips additional space for classes and boarding students at the school.

An exact opening date has not been announced, but Waterford Hotel Group, the Inn’s owner, was before the Andover Select Board last week to request a change of manager for its liquor license and has been posting help wanted ads as it staffs up.
