Andover Public Schools students may be riding to school on a new electric school bus in the coming days.

Students and advisors from the Andover High School Environmental Club and other school officials were able to tour the new buses Monday morning. Trombly/NRT, the district’s transportation contractor, added five of the environmentally-friendly buses to Andover’s fleet. The buses replace older vehicles.

The buses are part of a fleet of 10 all-electric buses that Trombly Bus and NRT Bus is putting into service, making it the largest operator of electric school buses in Massachusetts.
