It was another busy week for Andover police. Among the more notable incidents in this week’s Andover police log::

  • A stolen Audi A3.
  • A man who appeared to be homeless chasing a boy into CVS.
  • A dead turkey mistaken for an injured goose.

Wednesday, Dec. 28

1:24 am: Caller says he has been unable to contact his 17-year-old son for a few hours and he may be missing. Son came own; his phone had died.
8:38 am: Crash with personal injury on South Main Street.
9:38 am: Warrant served on Balmoral service. Woman transported to Lawrence Detention Center, dog taken to River Road vet.
3:45 pm: Caller says someone threw a bag of feces at his Trump sign.
6:13 pm: Fraud, George Street.
9:01 pm: Man in late 40s with dark black hair, wearing a sweatshirt and jeans is standing in the middle of Elm Square. Police spoke with man, who said he was asking people in cars for money. Told to stay out of the road.
9:16 pm: Liquor check/violation, Elm Street.
10:12 pm: Parents call to say a man chased their son inside CVS on Main Street. Man appears to be homeless, wearing blue pajama bottoms. Gone upon arrival.

Thursday, Dec. 29

5:05 am: Neighbors being loud and playing music on Bulfinch Drive.
11:16 am: Dog bite on Chongris Circle.
1:24 pm: Hit-and-run crash on Lowell Street.
1:48 pm: Report of man in his sixties stumbling and falling on North Main Street. Fire Department transported to hospital.
3:31 pm: Woman wants to report issue with upstairs neighbor on Overlook Drive.
3:33 pm: Kids playing on ice at Powers Road/Woburn Street.
5:06 pm: Suspicious activity. Dark-colored van on Lowell Street.
6:40 pm: Caller concerned about a co-worker. Man located and was sleeping.
7:42 pm: Two teens running up and down street at Clark Road/Dascomb Road and into a vacant home.
7:49 pm: Caller says someone threw something at his car while driving on Route 125.

Friday, Dec. 30

12:02 pm: Unwanted guest, Minuteman Road.
12:53 pm: Crash with injury, three tows requested at Shepley Street/Union Street.
1:11 pm: Shingles flying off roof on Red Spring Road, damaging neighbor’s cars. “Advised to give their insurance a call.”
6:12 pm: Lawrence police requesting K9 to track in foot chase.
8:51 pm: Phone threats, Atlantic Avenue.
11:15 pm: Caller reports suspicious car at Andover Country Club Lane/Trevino Circle. No description.
11:29 pm: Motor vehicle parked at end of driveway on Osgood Street.

Saturday, Dec. 31

12:45 am: Merrimack College saw person on camera wearing dark clothes going between yards with a flashlight at Fox Hill Road/Murray Way. Person was looking into a pickup truck window. No damage to vehicle, police could not locate anyone in the area.
1:52 am: Caller saw a person try to get into his wife’s car on his RING camera. Gone upon arrival.
8:33 am: Walk-in reports his Audi A3 was stolen from Prospect Road.
9:56 am: Possibly stolen bicycle left on Bancroft Road property.
10:44 am: Vandalism, Sunset Rock Road.
10:53 am: “Irate” guest won’t leave River Road hotel. Person left without incident when police arrived.
11:43 am: Motor vehicle break in, Holt Road.
12:11 pm: “Caller reports a fox is wrapped up in plastic [on Willard Circle]. Officer reports deceased fox and not wrapped in anything.”
4:04 pm: Caller reports a vehicle hit a goose, which is injured. “Officer it is a turkey and is expired.”
4:54 pm: Andover and North Andover police located lost hikers near Prospect Road.
8:25 pm: Car crashed into utility pole on Andover Street, with injuries. National Grid and Andover water division notified.10:05 pm: Noise complaint, Essex Street
10:42 pm: Noise complaint, Furnari Farm Lane.

Sunday, Jan. 1

12:39 am: Lawrence police ask for assistance locating domestic suspect in are of River Road.
5:17 am: Suspicious person walking on Lowell Street/Jordyn Lane. Person was out for a walk.
9:42 am: Harassment order violation, Chestnut Street.
3:35 pm: Harassment, Main Street.
9:42 pm: Fraud, Stinson Road.
9:45 pm: Caller heard man and woman yelling at each other in unit above his on Woodview Way. Spoke with several residents in area who did not see or hear anything.

Monday, Jan. 2

6:48 am: Picketers on Burtt Road. Packed up and left.
4:45 pm: Caller wants to speak with officer about incident with River Road neighbor.
7:17 pm: Erratic operator, Main Street.
8:01 pm: South Main Street caller says she received a threatening phone call.
10:13 pm: Arrest following motor vehicle stop on Route 93/River Road.

Tuesday, Jan. 3

6:31 am: Crash with injury, North Main Street
11:17 am: Animal complaint, Redgate Drive
2:54 pm: Stolen motor vehicle recovered, Park Street
4:22 pm: Dead deer on side of Lowell Street
5:42 pm: Erratic operator, Jenkins Road/Pipers Glen
9:38 pm: Caller reports neighbor’s dog in on her property, Harold Parker Rod
10:06 pm: White Jeep Grand Cherokee playing loud music and taking photos on Regency Ridge. Driver was a local resident trying to find her dog, who got loose. Dog located.
10:53 pm: Report of gun shots near River Road. Officers checked area.
