The Bertucci’s located at 90 Main Street in downtown Andover is permanently closed, according to Yelp, OpenTable and other restaurant sites. Other details, including when the store closed, were not immediately available. Andover News has asked the company for confirmation and comment and will update this story when we hear back from them.

Meanwhile, Northborough-based Bertucci’s is rolling back prices to 1980s levels on 10 menu items at its remaining stores, including the one located near the Andover-North Andover town line at 435 Andover Street in North Andover. The promotion runs July 6-7 and July 13-14 with prices between $3.25 and $6 for brick-oven pizzas, pasta, bread rolls and other menu items. The promotion is marking the chains more than 40 years in business since it opened its first location in Somerville in 1981.

“You got 40 years of local, loyal customers,” Chief Executive Robert Earl told the Boston Business Journal. “Prices are going through the roof because of the labor supply and supply chain of food. You turn on any TV and all you see is recession and inflation.”
