A group of Andover residents is offering free tax preparation under the AARP Tax-Aide Foundation.

While the program targets seniors and low-income earned, the group does not impose tax limits but avoids doing complex tax returns. Returns are prepared by volunteers who are all Andover residents and pass IRS certification tests on tax law each year.

Volunteers will be at the Robb Center beginning Feb. 14 through April 11. The program is open to Andover residents of all ages, and you do not have to be an AARP member. Appointments include a short interview with a tax preparer and returns are usually ready within one to two hours. The program provides paper copies of returns and files them electronically on your behalf.

For more info and to make an appointment, call the Andover Senior Center at 978-623-8320.
