Happy Monday, Andover! We’re looking at a high of 80 today and a low of 58 this evening, with a 79 percent chance of rain as scattered showers move through the area. We’re going to see a lot of sun this week, and it will get hotter as we get close to the weekend, with a forecast high of 94 on Friday.

Here’s what else you need to know today:

  1. The New England Spring Classic Car Show returned to Andover on Sunday, with dozens of classic cars displayed on Main Street. Check out our photo gallery.
  2. The Department of Public Works has a plan for identifying homes with lead-lined water service. The town will be inspecting about 400 homes per year until the 1,300 homes where service is unknown have been checked.
  3. Are you ready for a three-day, July 4th Holiday Weekend? Here’s a rundown of everything happening in Andover for Independence Day.
  4. Despite the week being a lead-in to a holiday, there are plenty of local government meetings this week: Today, the school committee meets at 5 pm, the select board meets at 7 pm and the Zonig Board of Appeals conducts a site visit at 6:30 pm as part of 16 High Street. More info.
