2 Things To Know Today
  1. Andover will hold its special town meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at the Collins Center to address budget overruns at the West Elementary School and Shawsheen Preschool construction project.   2. As of Wednesday afternoon, the amount of the borrowing special town meeting will be asked to approve was $14.5 million, according to Andover Town Manager Andrew Flanagan. At that rate, the borrowing would add approximately $63 to the average Andover taxpayer’s annual bill, based on an average assessed single-family value of $759,453.
Sports: Paige Anastasi, an Andover resident and a senior at Lawrence Academy, signed a letter of intent Monday to join the gymnastics team at the University of Minnesota next year. Anastasi competed for the Burlington-based Brestyans American Gymnastics Club, which is best known for producing Olympic medal-winners Aly Raisman and Alicia Sacramone.
