|
- Andover will hold its special town meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at the Collins Center to address budget overruns at the West Elementary School and Shawsheen Preschool construction project. - As of Wednesday afternoon, the amount of the borrowing special town meeting will be asked to approve was $14.5 million, according to Andover Town Manager Andrew Flanagan. At that rate, the borrowing would add approximately $63 to the average Andover taxpayer’s annual bill, based on an average assessed single-family value of $759,453.
Sports: Paige Anastasi, an Andover resident and a senior at Lawrence Academy, signed a letter of intent Monday to join the gymnastics team at the University of Minnesota next year. Anastasi competed for the Burlington-based Brestyans American Gymnastics Club, which is best known for producing Olympic medal-winners Aly Raisman and Alicia Sacramone.
