A.M. Briefing

3 Things To Know Today
  1. Yesterday's Boston Globe had a story about efforts to start independent news organizations in Marblehead. My takeaway: I'd love to get more people involved with running and growing Andover News. If you're interested in helping out, let me know.
  2. I will be holding Andover News Publisher’s Office Hours at Town Market Andover (429 South Main Street) from 9:15 to 11 a.m. this morning. This is a chance to drop in, say hello, ask questions, make suggestions or register complaints. Just look for Dave Copeland, the big bald guy buried in a laptop. Event details on Facebook.
  3. The paywall is in the process of being installed this week. You can still purchase a one-year subscription for $60, a savings of 29%, before the regular rate of $7/month kicks in.
Sports: AHS girls basketball remained undefeated with a 57-42 win over Dracut on Tuesday...Meanwhile, the boys topped Dracut 66-42 on Tuesday.

Weather: There is a winter weather advisory in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday. Watch out for icy roads. Showers end this morning and give way to cloudy skies this afternoon. High of 40. Cloudy tonight with a low of 32. We could see rain mixed with snow on Friday morning. (Weather Channel).
