4 Things To Know Today
  1. Andover High School senior Emma Reilly was named both the Massachusetts and New England Field Hockey Player of the Year by Max Field Hockey on Tuesday. The midfielder scored 17 goals and 21 assists in leading the Warriors to their second straight state championship. Earlier this month, Reilly was named to Max Prep's 2nd All-American team.
  2. Worth a read: Do you know about Andover's participation (along with 700 other New England towns) in Boston Post Cane program, which "transferred" an ebony wood cane from Africa to the town's oldest man beginning in 1909? The Andover Center for History & Culture can fill you in its weekly History Buzz newsletter.
  3. Andover Elder Services is hosting a Mend-It Shop on Feb. 10 and Feb. 24 from 1-3 p.m. at the Robb Center. You can get clothes fixed for donations of $2 to $5.
