Like fast-paced suspense novels? Check out A Quiet Wife and Wife Force, the first two novels by local Andover author Sulla Rose. Taking place in the affluent New England town of Laurelville, the novels feature plenty of shocking twists, simmering suburban secrets...and even a good dose of levity from the posts on the Laurelville Mamas Facebook Page! A.M. Briefing

1 Thing to Know Today:
  1. I try not to get too personal in this site, but today I need to give a shout-out to the great people in Andover. This week my six-year-old and my six-month-old daughters got hit with a stomach flu -- bad at anytime but even worse during the national shortage of both infant and children's Tylenol. Within minutes of posting a plea on the "What's going on in Andover" Facebook group, I not only had advice on places that had the liquid gold in stock, but people offering to give us and even drop off their extra supply. Thanks to everyone who offered to help (and both girls are on track to be feeling 100% by the time the Christmas fun starts).
Sports: The AHS girls basketball team was number 1 in the Boston Globe rankings released Thursday...AHS girls hockey defeated Westford 5-1 on Wednesday (compiled the Boston Globe, Andover Athletics on Twitter and other media reports).

Weather: Windy, rainy with a chance of thunderstorms. High of 55. Wind continues tonight under partly skies with a low of 13. A high wind warning began at 1 a.m. this morning and ends at 7 a.m. Saturday. During that time period, there will be potentially-damaging winds between 25 and 35 MPH and gusts up to 65 mph. (compiled from the Weather Channel).
