Three Things To Know Today
  1. Andover Bookstore will celebrate Independent Bookstore Day on Saturday with a poetry reading at 3 p.m. by Heather Corbally Bryant, a Pushcart-nominated poet and senior lecturer at Wellesley College. The store is offering 20% off all purchases throughout the day and a chance to enter a raffle for a $100 gift card.
  2. The MBTA will be doing repair work between midnight and 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at the crossing at Andover and Tewksbury Streets. There will also be pre-site work on Friday. Andover police are asking people to seek alternate routes.
  3. I'm trying to get permission to live-Tweet this afternoon's hearing in Lawrence Superior Court, where a judge will hear an Andover's man's request for an emergency injunction to change the date of Annual Town Meeting. Mac Gobiel had three goals and an assist in AHS boys' lacrosse's 12-8 win over Pinkerton, NH Tuesday....AHS girls' tennis improved to 6-0 with a 4-1 win at Newton South. The Warriors are ranked 10th in the state.
