Two Things To Know Today:

  1. The company that wants to build a drug treatment center on Haverhill Street asked for and was granted a continuance and will not appear at the Zoning Board of Appeals meeting at 6:30 p.m. tonight. There are pending lawsuits in Massachusetts Land Court and Essex Superior Court involving Medico 140 LLC and the ZBA. Read previous coverage on the controversial project.
  2. The Andover High School Building Committee launched a survey Wednesday to collect resident feedback on the potential building project. The survey closes March 15.
  3. Andover received new COVID-19 test kits, which are available free for residents while supplies last. You can pick them up at Town Offices, the Robb Center or Memorial Hall Library (more info).

Sports

  • The 8th seeded AHS boys' basketball team (13-7) hosts Springfield Central (25th seed, 12-8) at 6:30 tonight in the Division I state tournament.

Weather: Melt Away - For Now

Rain ends early this morning, but skies will remain cloudy. High of 45. Clear skies tonight with a low of 27. There could be a winter storm with 1-3 inches of snow beginning Friday night and continuing into Saturday.
