Andover Fire Rescue responded to a "fully-involved" car fire on the southbound side Interstate 495 shortly after 3 p.m. Thursday.

The car was located in the breakdown lane just south of the Interstate 93 interchange. There was no driver in the car or on the scene, and no injuries were reported, according to scanner reports.

Traffic on the highway was backed up past the Route 28 interchange in Andover as of 3:30 p.m.
