Andover Public Schools welcome back students on Aug. 30. We’ve rounded up key dates and information for parents and students to get ready for the 2023-24 school year, including the calendar, release times for regular and early-release days, and information about free meals for students.
Calendar
Teachers head back to school on Aug. 28 and grades 1-12 start two days later. Pre-K and kindergartners start school on Sept 5. Here are other key dates for the 2023-24 school year:

- High School: 8:15 AM to 2:51 PM
- Middle schools: 8:15 AM to 2:50 PM
- Elementary schools: 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Food Service
Gov. Maura Healey signed a state budget Aug. 9 that includes free meals for all public students in Massachusetts. Students can get free breakfast and lunch on school days.
