Andover Cider Co., a locally based producer of artisanal hard cider, has announced a significant expansion of its distribution network through a new partnership with the Sheehan Family Companies, one of Massachusetts’ leading beverage distributors. The agreement will see Sheehan’s subsidiaries, including Seaboard, Craft Mass, and L. Knife, begin representing Andover Cider Co.’s products across retail outlets throughout the state.

Known for its distinctive 500ml glass bottles and commitment to simplicity, Andover Cider Co. produces premium hard cider made solely from apples, without any added sugars. The company emphasizes a dry, crisp flavor profile, with its slogan “Sip on Simplicity™” reflecting its focus on natural ingredients.

Founder and owner Caleb Harty expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We’re thrilled to partner with the Sheehan Family Companies to help us expand across the state of Massachusetts.” Harty praised Sheehan’s extensive experience and dedication to quality service, describing their collaboration as a natural fit.

Andover Cider Co. was founded in December 2022, inspired by Harty’s diagnosis of a gluten allergy in 2019. Seeking a suitable alternative to traditional beer, Harty turned to hard cider, which he found to be too sweet in many commercial varieties. His desire for a more natural, less sugary option led to the creation of Andover Cider Co. The company’s products gained recognition in 2023 when they earned a Bronze Medal at the U.S. Open Cider Championship in the “Traditional Dry” category, competing against established brands across North America.

The company offers a range of flavors, including seasonal and limited editions such as Summer Raspberry and Cranberry Apple. All products are gluten-free and designed for enjoyment chilled, suitable for gatherings, meals, or casual relaxation.

With the new distribution partnership, Andover Cider Co. aims to increase its presence throughout Massachusetts, providing consumers with its signature artisanal cider and expanding its reach within the craft beverage market.
