Andover’s 2025 annual town election will be on March 25. Here’s everything you need to know before you head to the polls.

Registering To Vote

The deadline to register to vote is 5 p.m. on March 15. The Board of Registrars of Voters will hold extended hours from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on March 15 at the Public Safety Center, 32 North Main Street, to register new voters. 

Residents may also register online by visiting: www.RegisterToVoteMA.com. All residents need to apply online is a license or an I.D. issued by the Registry of Motor Vehicles, subject to the applicable deadline. Additionally, mail-in voter registration forms or change of party forms must be postmarked by the March 15 deadline. 

Voters can check their voter registration status on the Secretary of State’s website at www.sec.state.ma.us or by calling the Town Clerk’s Office at (978) 623-8230. 

Vote By Mail

The deadline to submit an application for a mail-in ballot is 5 p.m. on March 18. If you submitted a mail-in ballot application in 2024, you must submit a new application for elections in 2025.

To vote Early by mail, voters need to:

  1. request a ballot by submitting an application
  2. receive the ballot from the Town Clerk’s Office
  3. return the completed ballot to the Town Clerk’s Office by 8 p.m. on election day.

Mail-in ballot applications are available on the Secretary of State’s website, on the Town website in downloadable form, and at the Andover Town Offices, 36 Bartlet Street, in the Town Clerk’s Office between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Completed applications can be deposited in the secure box located outside the Town Offices along 36 Bartlet Street, or mailed to the Town Clerk’s Office at 36 Bartlet Street. 

If you vote by mail, you can track your ballot online.

Where do I vote?

There is no early voting option for the annual town election. If you did not apply for an absentee or mail-in ballot, you will need to vote in person between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. on March 25. In-person voting takes place at the following locations:

  • Precincts 1 and 3: Youth Center, Whittier Court. 
  • Precincts 4, 4A, 5 and 6: Wood Hill Middle School, Cross Street. 
  • Precincts 2, 7, 8, 9 and 10: Richard J. Collins Field House at Andover High School, Shawsheen Road.
