The following is a news release from Andover Farmers Market that does not necessarily reflect the views of Andover News.

Bundle up for the second annual Andover Holiday Market, Saturday, December 7th from 12 – 6 PM at Andover South Church on Central Street. Last year’s event showed the desire for more events where people can come together in Andover and this year’s market, inspired by European Christmas markets, will once again be an inclusive indoor and outdoor event designed to build community. It also serves as a fundraiser for the Andover Farmers Market.

Between mid-June and early October, an average of 1,000 people attend the Farmers Market each week to shop locally, buy fresh produce, and interact with the community.

The Andover Holiday Market is an artisan and food market. It is anchored by an indoor and outdoor artisan market featuring local artists, crafters, and specialty food producers. Back by very popular demand, local favorites Oak and Iron Brewery from Andover and Marble Ridge Winery from North Andover will come together for an outdoor beer and wine garden, surrounded by local eateries. Food options will include BBQ from Scarlet Fever BBQ, fresh ready-to-eat chowder and seafood from Bluefin, hot pizza from Si Cara, along with hot cider, coffee, and cocoa.

The artisan market will include jewelry, pottery, art, wood crafts, home goods, gourmet food, holiday greenery, clothing, and more. Sidney’s Rainbows and the Village Play Space will have children’s programming including an outdoor sock skating rink, Samantha’s Garden’s will have their 1947 Dodge Truck, Rosie, for photo taking, and Blue House Santa will be onsite from 2:30-4:00 so that those who celebrate Christmas can take pictures with Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Bread & Roses from Lawrence will be onsite to conduct a holiday food drive. And there will be musical acts throughout the day and raffles with items from local businesses.

More details are on the Andover Farmers Market website (www.andoverfarmersmarket.com) and the Market’s social media channels including the Andover Holiday Market Facebook event.
