Prosecutors say an unnamed person forwarded evidence to police which showed David Espinola, 65, of Andover was making plans to meet with someone he thought was a 13-year-old girl (Tewksbury Police photo).

Tewksbury police arrested a 65-year-old Andover man after receiving evidence that he was having sexually explicit conversations online with a person he thought was a 13-year-old girl.

Police arrested David Espinola in his apartment without incident on June 12, and he was arraigned on one charge of enticement of a child under 16 in Lowell District Court on June 13. Prosecutors say an unnamed person forwarded evidence to police which showed he was making plans to meet with the girl.

As a condition of his release, Espinola was ordered to have no unsupervised contact with children. He is due back in court on July 8.
