The Merrimack Valley YMCA has announced the appointment of Nicole Heena as the new Executive Director of the Andover/North Andover Branch.
Heena, a longtime YMCA professional and Haverhill resident, steps into the role after a 17-year tenure with the North Shore YMCA, where she most recently served as Associate Executive Director of the Salem branch. Her prior roles included Senior Creative Arts Director and Membership Director.
“We’re so thrilled to have Nicole join our leadership team,” said Francis J. Kenneally III, President and CEO of the Merrimack Valley YMCA. “She has a deep commitment to the mission and service work of the YMCA and the leadership skills to take our talented team to the next level.”
Heena said her lifelong passion for community-building led her to dedicate her career to the YMCA movement.
“I am excited and grateful for the opportunity to lead the Andover/North Andover YMCA branch and to join the Merrimack Valley YMCA, an organization that is clearly a cornerstone of the community and a welcoming home for so many,” she said.
As Executive Director, Heena will oversee a team of 150 employees, manage a $10 million operating budget, and support the needs of the branch’s 14,000 members.
