The Andover Police Department swore in Jessica Moses (photo), Jacob Marshall and Liam Murphy as new officers at a ceremony at town hall earlier this month.
“Sworn law enforcement officers are those who have taken an oath to support the Constitution of the United States, their state, and the laws of their agency’s jurisdiction,” the department said in a Facebook post. “Sworn officers also have the responsibility to ensure the safety and quality of life of the communities they serve.”
The three have been on the job since Jan. 10 after the Andover Select Board approved the appointments at its Jan. 5 meeting. Each earns a base salary of $56,889.45 per year.
