Massachusetts public schools, including Andover Public Schools, are on April vacation from April 19-27. If you’re looking for kid- and family-friendly things to do without having to drive too far, this guide is for you.
Andover Recreation Programs
Andover Recreation is running a Kid Care Discovery Zone camp at Bancroft Elementary School on Tuesday-Friday of vacation week from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The cost is $85 per day or $300 per week. Activities include arts & crafts, science experiments, sports & games, and outside play. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.

Taste Buds Kitchen in North Andover is offering two, five-day cooking camps for kids during February vacation. There is a camp for kids 5-8 that runs from 9 a.m. to noon and a camp for kids 9-13 that runs from 1-4 p.m. for kids ages 9-teen.
Camp Evergreen on Jenkins Road is offering its spring camp, where kids can fish, hike, play sports, drama, arts and crafts, for building, archery and other games and activities (more info).
Catch a movie at AMC in Methuen (show times).
Wamesit Lanes in Tewksbury offers bowling, indoor golf, and more than 60 video games (more info). In addition to an arcade, MVP Family Fun Center in Tewksbury has laser tag and is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, excluding April 20 (Easter) (more info).
Launch Trampoline Park in Methuen has extended hours for April vacation week. There’s also a special toddler time from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Friday and Saturday during the vacation week.
