An Andover woman admitted to stealing thousands of dollars by filing false Medicaid claims with two New Hampshire companies.
Dorabela Medeiros, 43, of Andover, pleaded guilty to two felony counts of Medicaid Fraud-false claims and Medicaid Fraud-false records after submitting documents to two separate home healthcare companies. Medeiros collected more than $7,000 between March and August 2022 by claiming she cared for a member when she did not.
Medeiros was sentenced to 12 months in jail with all but 45 days suspended. She had made full restitution by the time of last week’s hearing.
