As an Andover resident and voter, I am writing in support of Emily DiCesaro for another term on the Andover School Committee.

Recently, I had the opportunity to reconnect with my hometown’s retired Town Clerk, who had helped me register to vote on my 18th birthday. Our conversation focused on the importance of civic engagement, and how, while many attend Town Meetings and volunteer, it’s people like Emily DiCesaro—seeking another term on Andover’s School Committee—who truly go above and beyond to make a meaningful impact. I am confident Emily will continue to work tirelessly for Andover, with both immediate and long-lasting results.

I’ve seen Emily’s passion firsthand through our shared work in the PTO, but her real strength lies in her dedication to learning, educating, and making informed decisions. Emily combines hard work, curiosity, and a measured approach, which makes her an invaluable asset to the School Committee.

Emily’s investment in Andover’s future is clear. She understands that today’s decisions will shape the education system for generations, and she has demonstrated her commitment during her first term. She gained essential policymaking experience and sought further education through the Andover Leadership Academy, where she worked closely with town departments to enhance her understanding.

Emily is also a responsible steward of our community’s resources. Her role in negotiating a contract renewal with the school foodservice workers union is just one example of how she handles complex issues with thoughtfulness and a long-term perspective. Emily’s empathy, patience, and ability to foster understanding among teachers, parents, unions, and administrators make her a fair and effective leader.

I encourage you to join me in voting for Emily DiCesaro on Tuesday, March 25, for re-election to the Andover School Committee.

Sincerely,
Heather K. Belson
