We are writing in enthusiastic support of Emily DiCesaro’s candidacy for the Andover School Committee.
Andover public schools parent (Bancroft Elementary School, Doherty Middle School, and Andover High School) and working mom, Emily DiCesaro, is passionate about public education. DiCesaro’s commitment to public education is inspired by her own experience as a long-time Andover public school parent and rooted in her own family’s history of work and advocacy in education and public and social service.
As a current Andover School Committee member, DiCesaro has worked tirelessly over the past three years in support of Andover public schools. DiCesaro cares deeply about the Andover public school community. She takes the time to respectfully listen to, and to learn from, all constituents. DiCesaro’s unique and holistic approach, informed by genuine compassion, good sense, and innovation, greatly benefits students, teachers, and families.
As teachers ourselves, and parents to kids who attended/currently attend Bancroft Elementary and Doherty Middle Schools, and as people who have had the honor and pleasure of knowing Emily and her family for some years now, we have greatly admired and appreciated Emily DiCesaro’s service on the Andover School Committee over the past three years. We feel very fortunate that she is running to continue this vital work.
DiCesaro’s track record as we near the close of her first term on the School Committee has been outstanding. This record includes her support of essential evidence-based data collection, her productive contribution to negotiating a successful contract renewal with the school food service union, and her empathetic, communication-forward, and clear-eyed approach to ensuring the flourishing of Andover Public Schools now and into the future.
We urge you to join us in supporting Emily DiCesaro for School Committee.
