As a resident of Andover, I am writing to express my strong support for Jake Tamarkin’s candidacy for the Andover School Committee. Jake is exactly the kind of thoughtful, engaged leader our community needs—someone with the vision, the financial acumen, and the willingness to listen that are essential to strengthening our schools and ensuring all students have the opportunity to thrive.
One of the things that stands out most about Jake is his approach to leadership. He understands that the key to making informed decisions is asking the right questions and truly listening to all voices—whether that’s parents, teachers, students, or other community members. Jake is deeply committed to understanding the concerns of every stakeholder and working collaboratively to find solutions that will serve our entire community.
In addition to his openness and willingness to listen, Jake brings a critical skill set to the table: his strong analytic and financial expertise. At a time when our schools face complex budgetary and policy challenges, Jake’s ability to evaluate data, think critically, and navigate difficult financial decisions will be invaluable in ensuring that resources are used effectively and equitably.
Jake’s candidacy offers Andover an opportunity to elect someone who is not only capable but also committed to fostering respectful dialogue, building consensus, and keeping our schools moving forward. I encourage my fellow residents to join me in voting for Jake Tamarkin for School Committee on Tuesday, March 25. Together, we can help build a stronger future for our students and our town.
Sincerely,
Caitlin Brown
