David Crow’s letter is exactly what’s wrong with this election: political mudslinging meant to mislead voters instead of addressing the real issues. Instead of discussing school funding, transparency, and student success, he misrepresents the facts and tries to discredit candidates who are stepping up to fix the problems in our schools.
The Andover Education Association is not an “outside influence.” It represents the teachers, instructional assistants, and staff who educate our children every day. Andover’s school system is one of the biggest reasons people choose Andover to settle down in and the decline of our schools is an issue that needs to be addressed immediately. And who knows what the school and students need better than the teachers themselves.
Chris Shepley isn’t just some inexperienced newcomer, he’s a product of APS who understands our schools, regularly attends School Committee meetings, is a graduate of the Andover Leadership Academy, and is an active member of Andover’s local government. He’s informed, engaged, and ready to lead.
Voters deserve real discussions on the issues, not political games. Join me in rejecting the distractions and voting for Chris Shepley and Jake Tamarkin on March 25. Andover’s schools need leaders who will put students first.
