As Andover voters consider candidates for the School Committee race, one name stands out for his unique expertise—Jacob Tamarkin. With a strong background in finance, Tamarkin brings a valuable skill set that could greatly benefit the district, particularly when it comes to budgeting, resource allocation, and long-term financial planning. At a time when our schools are facing increasing financial pressures, having a leader who understands the complexities of funding and fiscal responsibility is more important than ever. His particular acumen could be a game-changer for Andover Public Schools.

Beyond his financial expertise, Tamarkin has shown a commitment to education and the community. A strong School Committee member must be able to listen, collaborate, and prioritize the needs of students and families, educators, and administrators. The educators stand behind him and I do too. I believe he would approach challenges with a data-driven mindset coupled with compassion for a balanced approach.

The role of a School Committee member isn’t just about policy; it’s about vision. If you give Jacob Tamarkin a chance, I believe he can leverage his financial knowledge to push for responsible spending, while keeping students at the heart of every decision. As voters head to the polls on March 25th, they should consider the importance of financial expertise in shaping the future of education—Tamarkin is the right person to bring that strength to the table.
