Several Andover residents were evacuated from their homes after a work crew ruptured a gas line on Argilla Road Wednesday morning, according to scanner reports.
The accident occurred around 7:55 a.m. near 30 Argilla Road. Fire crews reported gas odor on Heritage Lane and gas readings on Homestead Circle. The incident forced officials to cut power to several homes and schools in the area as the gas line break was repaired.
Other details were not immediately available Wednesday afternoon.
