A pair of Andover residents are accepting donations for personal care goodie bags for 24 Andover teens in need this week.
Ellen McCarthy Townson and Marianne Leonard Cashman posted their call for donations on Facebook groups for Andover residents over the weekend. They’re collecting items for 12 boys and 12 girls between the ages of 13 and 15. Items can be dropped off at William Raveis at 12 Bartlet Street in Andover, where Cashman works.
“We will be assembling the bags ourselves, so to make them fair, we are suggesting donations of 6-12 of a single product, instead of one of each,” Townson wrote in her post. “Thank you in advance for helping these kids feel special!”
The deadline to drop off donations is Monday, July 25.
