I am writing to encourage the Andover community to vote for Emily DiCesaro in the upcoming town election on Tuesday, March 25th.
I have become friends with Emily through the friendship of our sons. When we met, she had recently become a member of the Andover School Committee. As an educator in a nearby community, we quickly found much in common.
I have come to see how committed Emily is to improving Andover Public Schools. She has a tremendous amount of pride and excitement about the opportunities that Andover students have. I love hearing about the programs and people she meets who are doing great things in our community. Emily is passionate about bringing more of these resources and opportunities to our students and their families. She is aware of how quickly our world is changing and strives for our children to have both the support and resources they need in order to find success.
The intricacies of how local school governments run are vast and detailed. I think it is extremely important to have an experienced leader on the committee as we face budget deficits, state and federal mandates, and the evolving needs of our students. We cannot afford a learning curve. Emily is a leader who has the skills, motivation, and expertise to guide us now. She is working for changes, stabilization, and growth that will impact future generations of students while considering current students and their needs. She has the foresight to think about long term goals and makes decisions that won’t impede us in the future.
Lastly, I appreciate that Emily is an independent thinker. She is motivated by her strong beliefs that a quality education gives our children opportunity. She values open and respectful communication. Emily listens to all voices. I believe these qualities will leave us well represented. Please join me in voting for Emily DiCesaro on Tuesday, March 25.
Thank you,
Jennifer Ross
