A former school committee member and a couple who advocated for pedestrian safety after their five-year-old daughter was hit and killed by a truck are among the recipients of this year’s Citizens Who Care honor from the Rotary Club of Andover.
Rotary also named Julie Diehl, an Andover Public Schools music teacher, 2025 2025 Educator of the Year and Sofia Duran-Clark Student of the Year. All of the award winners will be honored at Rotary’s annual gala on May 8 at 5:30 p.m. at the Andover Country Club.
In addition to former school committee member Susan McCready and Mary Beth Ellis and Eric Olson of the Sidney Mae Olson Rainbow Fund, the recipients of Citizens Who Care honors are:

The CWC-EOY Gala is the Rotary Club’s signature event and a key fundraiser. It attracts a wide range of attendees, including families and friends of the honorees, Rotary members, town officials such as the Select Board, town manager, and state lawmakers.
