Samuel’s, the restaurant at the Andover Inn that has been closed since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, has reopened with a limited menu.
Samuel’s is open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday from 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The restaurant is also open for lunch Wednesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Inn and Samuel’s restaurant closed on March 23, 2020. At the time, Phillips Academy Andover officials said the closure would be “indefinite” and allow time for “several necessary repairs.” The 30-room hotel and restaurant space were also used during the pandemic to give Phillips additional space for classes and boarding students at the school.
Last month, the Inn said it’s planning to remodel the lobby and all guestrooms as part of a massive renovation. The Inn will remain open during renovations, which are expected to be completed early next year.
Samuel’s won’t be offering full food and bar service until Sept. 1, 2023.
Waterford Hotel Group, the Inn’s owner, was before the Andover Select Board earlier this fall to request a change of manager for its liquor license and has been posting help wanted ads as it staffs up.
Earlier this week, the Inn said it is offering a $500 sign-on bonus for new hires for the following positions:
- Director of Sales – FT
- Operations Manager – FT
- Front Office Supervisor – FT
- Guest Service Agent – PT/FT
- Room Attendant – PT/FT
- Servers – PT/FT
