A pair of Andover residents were honored Monday for their participation in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

The Andover Select Board honored Ruby Remati of the U.S. artistic swimming team. The team’s silver medal was the first for the U.S. in 14 years. The board also honored Emelie Eldracher (photo), who won a silver medal at the 2024 Paralympic Games as part of Mixed PR3 Coxed Four Para-Rowing team.

“We, the Andover Select Board, on behalf of the residents of the Town of Andover, extend our heartiest congratulations….on this extraordinary achievement, proudly recognizing her as a shining ambassador of the Andover community and a testament to the power of inspiration, passion, and dedication,” the board said in its citation to each athlete.
