Andover’s 2025 election season got off to an early start Wednesday when Christopher Shepley announced he would run for school committee for a second straight year.

“I’m excited to embark on this campaign, and I am truly passionate about serving this community,”
Shepley said in a statement. “Andover Public Schools is at a crucial crossroad and the decisions we make today will shape our school district for the next few decades

School committee members Emily DiCesaro and Sandis Wright are up for reelection next spring. Neither has said whether they plan to run for what would be a second, three-year term for each.

Shepley ran last spring while he was a senior at Andover High School. He placed fifth in a five-way race for two open seats on the school committee, which were won by Shauna Murray and Lauren Diffenbach.
