A.M. Briefing
One Thing To Know Today:
- Andover will be under a winter storm watch from 7 p.m. Friday until 7 p.m. Saturday. Snow could impact the Friday evening commute, but the heaviest snow will fall between midnight and 9 a.m. Saturday. See more in "Weather," below.
- The Town of Andover is collecting nominations for the 2023 Virginia Cole Award, which recognizes outstanding, long-term contributions by elected and appointed officials, or volunteers. The deadline to submit nominations is March 31 (more info).
Sports
- Captain Rose MacLean had two goals, while junior Rose Memolo and sophomore Scarlet Glass had one apiece in AHS girls' hockey's 4-2 win over Wellesley Wednesday in the MIAA Division II state tournament. The Warriors will host the winner of last night's Pemrboke-Franklin game in the Sweet 16 at a time and date TBD.
- AHS boys' hockey finished the season with an 11-6-2 record after falling to Franklin 11-2 Wednesday in the first round of the MIAA Division I tournament.
- The undefeated AHS girls' basketball team hosts Acton-Boxborough tonight at 7 p.m. in the Round of 32 in the Division I tournament.

- Today: Mostly cloudy, high of 43 today before it becomes a mess. As of 4:45 p.m. Thursday, Andover was set to go under a winter storm watch until 7 p.m. Saturday as massive winter that could dump 8-12 inches of snow on Andover storm rolls in. It will start to get messy during the evening commute, but the worst weather will be from midnight to 9 a.m. Saturday.
- Tomorrow: Snow continues, high of 35. Cloudy at night, with some patchy snow showers possible later. Low of 25.
- Sunday: Warmer, cloudy, high of 42. Clouds could break in the afternoon. Clear Sunday night, low of 29.
