Things To Know Today
  1. The Bald Hall Compost Site will stop accepting storm debris from residents without a permit beginning Saturday. The Pomps Pond site will remain open for all Andover residents. The Bald Hill site will remain open through Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and return to its normal schedule next week (more info).

  • AHS girls' swimming floated past Dracut 80-67on Tuesday. Individual winners included Aneesa Hazarika (200 free), Lauren Ilsey (diving), Carter Beauchesne (100 butterfly) and Jill Cavener (500 free). Meet report submitted by Patty Barnes.
  • North Andover (6-1-4) beat AHS Boys' Soccer 5-0 on Tuesday. The girls fell 1-0 at home to the Scarlet Knights.

  • Bella DiFiore (left), Mia Giaimo and Ella Sewall had goals in AHS field hockey's 3-0 win over Danvers Monday. The teams honored Coleen Ritzer, the Andover native killed by a student while teaching at Danvers High School in 2013 before the game Game report submitted by Betsy Memmolo.
