Andover Public Schools are on pace to pay 83.3 percent more this year than last to contract instructional assistants from an Acton-based company that specializes in autism care, according to the Town's open finance Website.   2. Tomorrow is Veterans Day (observed). Schools are open and there will be no trash collection delay, but several other places will be closed.

  • Mia Batchelder, Ella Sewall, and Mia Giaimo scored goals in AHS field hockey's 3-0 win over Wellesley Tuesday. The Warriors will host Algonquin on Friday at 5:30 p.m. in the quarterfinals of the MIAA Division I tournament. Giaimo, Rose Memmolo, Bella DiFiore and Sterre Klaarenbeek had assists.
  • Sowol Lee had 30 assists, 14 digs, and an ace in AHS girls' volleyballs 3-0 win over Natick on Tuesday. Next up: a quarterfinal match with the winner of last night's Acton-Boxborough-Barnstable game.
