Weekend Sports:




The AHS girls' swimming team cleaned up on Friday, winning the MVC Championship Meet. Freshman Emi Hukkanen (photo) won the 200 freestyle in 2:00.82 and the 100 butterfly (1:01.31). Junior Amelia Barron was tops in the 100 breaststroke (1:11.64) and anchored the winning 4 x 100 freestyle relay team rounded out by Olivia Landers, Aneesa Hazarika and Hukkanen.

The AHS girls' soccer team celebrated senior day (photo) on Friday. The Warriors fell 5-1 to 8th-ranked Masconomet in a non-league game and finished the regular season with a 7-6-5 record.

Fourth-seeded AHS football (7-1) will host 13th-seeded Franklin (5-3) Friday, and the girls' volleyball team (17-3) will open the post season against Plymouth North at a place and on a date TBD.

The MIAA is releasing tournament brackets and schedules for the rest of the fall sports this week. Here's when, the brackets will be released:
