Happy New Year, Andover News readers....
For regular readers and for those of you I have gotten to know over the past 19 months as I built Andover News, it should be clear I'm committed to finding ways to make sure reliable, quality, local news coverage survives in Andover.
This week, however, I need to take time off from running Andover News to address two other issues that are even more important to me than local journalism: my health and, by extension, my family.
As a result, I will be unable to publish Andover News for the next few days. My plan at the moment is to resume posting later this week and restart the daily newsletter next Monday. In addition to some missed coverage, this absence also means it may take me longer than I would prefer to respond to your emails, DMs, texts, and calls. But I will get back to you: I promise.
If my absence extends past this week, I'll make arrangements to credit the missed days to the subscriptions of paid readers and will process requests from those who prefer a refund.
The good news is I have already spent the past few months working on a plan to bring in people to help me grow and run Andover News so in the very near future, I'll be offering even more and even better coverages. And I'll even be able to take some time off every once in a while without having to write a note like this! Stay tuned for details -- I'm so excited to share them.
I should also make clear, since many of you will wonder, my medical issue poses no immediate threat to my health at the moment. The time I'm taking this week will help make sure it stays that way.
Thanks in advance for your understanding. Please let me know if you have questions or concerns. I look forward to being back with you by this time next week.

"During the Select Board’s discussion there was a lot of lip service to the large majority of voters who approved article 1, and a textbook example of Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt, better known as FUD."
