Things to know today
  1. Andover's open-air burning season began yesterday and runs through April 31. You can apply for a permit online (more info).
  2. Trash collection is delayed one-day this week because of Monday's holiday. Today is a Monday recycling/trash pickup day.
  3. I am touched by all the notes I received after my message to readers on Sunday. I feel lucky to have so many empathetic and supportive neighbors. I'm apologizing here, as I won't be able to respond to all of them, but please know they meant so much to me.

  • Yiwei Wang won the 100 freestyle and swam with the winning 200 medley and 400 freestyle relay teams in AHS boys' swimming's 83-67 win over North Reading-Wilmington Monday. Luke Suh added wins in the 50 free and 100 butterfly, while Ivan Giles won the 200 IM and the 100 backstroke.
