Scott Darlington is leaving Andover High School after eight years as an assistant principal.

“In the short term, I will be taking more time to spend with my family and to explore future career opportunities,” Darlington said in a note to faculty and staff. “I will miss all of you and the relationships we have developed together in working to educate our Andover High School students.”

The move comes less than a year after Caitlyn Brown abruptly resigned as principal days before the 2023-24 school year began. Brown’s replacement, James D’Andrea, started in his new position this summer.

Before coming to Andover as an interim assistant principal in 2016, Darlington worked for the Hudson school district as a career pathway specialist. He was given the permanent position at the start of the 2017-18 school year.
