Correction: An earlier version of this article mischaracterized the nature and timing of potential layoffs.
An Andover-based cloud-computing company could lay off all 239 of its workers as it files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
The layoffs would happen in two waves and be completed by June 3, according to a filing by Casa Systems Inc. with the MassHire Department of Career Services. Last fall Nasdaq warned Casa it was in jeopardy of being delisted from the exchange.
The company said it has deals in place to sell its assets in the 5G and cable businesses under the bankruptcy court’s supervision, according to a news release. The new owner would make a final determination on the layoffs.
Casa’s Andover headquarters are located at 100 Old River Road. Town Manager Andrew Flanagan said the closing would not impact the Town’s tax base.
