More About the Speaker
After studying landscape architecture in Hawaii, Johnsen was employed by a French gardener who had worked in Versailles. She has since practiced in Kenya, Japan, and across the United States. She combines professional European horticulture techniques with knowledge gleaned while working in Japan and Hawaii. She holds a graduate degree in urban and regional planning and earned the Award of Distinction in 2019 from the Association of Professional Landscape Designers.
