You won’t have to go too far from home to find something fun to do this weekend. The local events calendar is packed with family-friendly things to do, including Memorial Hall Library’s Friends’ Book Sale, Winter Fest and an artisan’s market.

The Conservation Division and Andover Recreation are co-sponsoring Winter Fest at Pomps Pond on Sunday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The event includes guided hikes around the pond, an ice rescue demonstration, a public safety equipment exhibit, and an ice fishing derby, dependent on ice conditions. Complimentary hot cocoa and light refreshments will be provided to attendees (more info).

Andover Artisans presents its Love The Arts Market on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Old Town Hall (20 Main Street). Local artists will have a wide range of crafts for sale, including ceramics, jewelry, glass and more.

The Winter Book Sale at Memorial Hall Library begins with a preview night from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The schedule for the sale is below:
