Among the calls that kept Andover police this past week, according to the police log:
- A 911 caller who couldn’t figure out how to get home after losing their phone.
- A suspicious suitcase.
- A report of someone possibly living under a bridge.
Andover police made 29 speeding traffic stops between Aug. 23-30, up from 22 last week. As Andover begins enforcing the new, town-wide, 25 mph speed limit, Andover News will include the speeding enforcement information in addition to the selected entries from each day’s police log.

Thursday, Aug. 24, 7:39 am: Caller wants to speak to an officer about an individual “using [a leaf} blower in their face,” Post Office Avenue.

8:54 pm: Man assaulted caller and her daughter last night, Brookfield Road.
11:16 am: Elderly woman walking in Elm Street and appears to be lost.Police drove woman home and spoke to her about Project Lifesaver.
11:38 am: Crash with injury, Jordyn Lane/Lowell Street.
11:58 am: Dog bite, Holt Road/Salem Street.
3:16 pm: Harassment, Talbot Road.
5:11 pm: Report of someone who may be living under the Route 125 bridge over Route 28. No one found, but several items found packed up under the bridge.
6:18 pm: Threats by man, Launching Road.
8:58 pm: Argument between employees, North Main Street. “They will be staying away from each other for the night.”
Friday, Aug. 25

Sunday, Aug. 27

3:14 pm: Caller reporting suspicious vehicle on their Robert Drive Property. It was a DoorDash driver making a delivery.
6:20 pm: Vandalism, Railroad Street.
6:31 pm: Caller says she was almost hit while crossing Main Street.
7:53 pm: Caller concerned about black suitcase near side of Orchard Crossing. Monday, Aug. 28

12:30 am: Man threatened ATM tech when he was asked to leave so the machine could be serviced, North Main Street.10:18 pm: Injured possum euthanized, Fiske Street.
10:45 am: Woman walking on Brown/Lowell Streets appears to be confused. “Officer spoke to female in question…She is out for a morning walk and is in good health.”
12:58 pm: Vandalism, Cross Street.
1:15 pm: Dog bite, Shattuck Road.
1:59 pm: Dog owner punched another dog owner in face after the canines fought on Woodview Way.
3:29 pm: Caller requesting well-being check on three-year-old daughter, who he has not seen since May.
Tuesday, Aug. 29
