Among the calls that kept Andover police this past week, according to the police log:
- A woman in a “pink ‘weird’ dress.”
- A fire engine backing into a police cruiser.
- A housekeeper accused of stealing vegetables.
Andover police made 67 speeding traffic stops between Aug. 30-Sept. 6, up from 29 last week. As Andover begins enforcing the new, town-wide, 25 mph speed limit, Andover News will include the speeding enforcement information in addition to the selected entries from each day’s police log.

Monday, Sept. 4, 6:09 am: Two people singing and dancing in the middle of Haverhill Street. “Two girls were making a TikTok, should be no further issues.”

12:47 pm: Tractor trailer “causing a traffic issue by the horn bridge — Truck is now free,” Central Street.

Friday, Sept. 1

9:55 am: Dead cat on driveway to Lanham Club, North Main Street.

1:18 am: Man yelling at someone on Main Street. Nothing found in area.
1:22 am: Report of gunshot on Stevens Street. Nothing found.
8:15 pm: Man asking people for money and making clerk uncomfortable in front of Railroad Street convenience store. Man was waiting for next train.
2:21 pm: Missing person, North Street.
5:31 pm: Store owner wants woman in a “pink ‘weird’ dress” removed from in front of store on River Road. She had been there since 1 p.m.
8:45 pm: Someone banged on door on Brookside Drive at the same time on two consecutive nights. “Possibly children in area playing prank on children in the house.”
9:49 pm: One person arrested after report of loud cars, Dascomb/Frontage Roads.
Monday, Sept. 4
