A 58-year-old man from Salisbury died in a rollover car crash on Interstate 495 in Andover Sunday.
Rescue workers were called to the scene around 11:30 a.m. The man, whose identity was not released, was taken to Lawrence General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The crash occurred on the northbound side of the highway between the Route 133 exit and the Interstate 93 interchange. According to scanner reports, the car drove off the left side of the highway ended up in the median. The state medical examiner was called to the scene just before noon.
No one else was in the car with the victim. No other vehicles were involved, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
