The Andover Health Division regularly inspects restaurants, stores, schools, and other establishments that serve and sell food, and Andover News publishes the inspections reports monthly. It’s important to note it’s not unusual for a restaurant to have a few minor infractions in a report.

The reports below are broken into four categories: restaurants, stores, schools, and other establishments, which can include daycare centers, nursing homes, hotels and other facilities that serve food.

The following food trucks and Andover Farmers Market vendors were inspected in June and had no violations: Bluefin, Cafe El Camino, Grassy Roots, Khipi Foods, Lowes Donuts, Moyzilla, Nallie Pastures, Ono Shaved Ice


Restaurants

Brooksy’s, 90 Main Street, on June 26
Areas where establishment was out of compliance:

  • Second deli unit holding salad components leaking.
  • Soap must be provided at hand sinks at all times. On inspection, hand soap and drying towels were missing.
  • Observed ice scoops being stored above unit not protected from dust.
  • Evaporator in deli unit holding raw chicken and pasta components leaking water.
  • Missing cover in floor drain next to stove.

99 Restaurant & Pub, 464 Lowell Street, on June 24
Areas where establishment was out of compliance:

  • Observed rack in walk in with mold growth.
  • Observed food debris in walk in floor.

Stores

None inspected in June.


Schools, Churches & Daycare

None inspected in June.

Andover Manor, 89 Morton Street, on June 4
Areas where establishment was out of compliance:

  • No hot water in hand sinks located in kitchen, ware washing area, and bathrooms.
  • Observed TMTC fruit flies.
  • Walk in freezer not properly latching. Ice build up around door.

Bear Mountain at Andover, 80 Andover Street, on June 12
Areas where the establishment was out of compliance:

  • Observed polystyrene lid used to cover soup dishes and plastic utensils.

Bridges by EPOCH, 254 Lowell Street, on June 24
Areas where the establishment was out of compliance:

  • Walk in freezer not self latching, ice build up @ door and back floor.
  • Walk in refrigerator- noted mold growth in wall to the right.

Stone Hill at Andover, 141 Elm Street, on June 11
Areas where the establishment was out of compliance:

  • Observed tuna salad and sliced tomatoes at 50f.
  • Observed cooked chicken- no date marking
  • Observed marinated beef- no date marking
  • Observed expired cottage
  • Food and grease debris throughout cook line, between and under equipment
  • Observed flip top with dust accumulation
  • Observed hood tag due for service
